Adventures are not hard to come by in this state we call home. We at AAC consider it a privilege to explore and enjoy the unique variety of Arizona. Arizona is the only state to have one of the “7 natural wonders of the world.” More than 80% of our land is national forest, national parks, recreation and wilderness land, and Indian reservations. We have more mountain peaks and summits to explore than Colorado. We have the longest stretch of ponderosa pines in the world and the longest remaining unbroken stretch of Route 66. We are the only state to contain all 4 North American deserts, and many cities have over 300 days of sunshine a year (near perfect conditions to swim and play on the water year-round). Contrasting our deserts are thousands of miles of rivers, hundreds of lakes, dozens of scenic waterfalls, peaceful creeks, relaxing hot springs, and hidden swimming holes. Many people from all over the world travel to Arizona to experience the Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Sedona, “The Mother Road”, Havasupai, our Deserts and more, but, WE have it all in our own backyard. Within a few hours we can be at some of the most coveted places in the country. We are truly blessed to call Arizona home. Our camp is unlike any other summer program. An adventure with us will have your student unplugged, socializing, learning, thinking, reconnecting with nature, and making life-long friends and memories.
